Hi, Has anyone experienced this issue but only focussing one way? My lens will focus on a subject further away but refuses to focus back to nearer subjects. Its such a pain having to set to manual in order to reset the focus to near everytime!
This is the only lens that it happens with. It is the only Telephoto that I have. It is a Tamron18-270mm F/3.5-6.3. My other lens is a Canon EFS 18-55mm and I never take it to sporting events because things are just too far away. And I've never had an issue with the Canon lens.
The best course of action over the long run just might turn to be buying a new lens. How old is the lens? Is it a newer “STM” version of the 18-55mm lens family? Before you took it apart, did it make a noise when you shake it? Have you reassembled the lens, and does the problem persist? Did
